In the book so far I think that Montag will not burn the book, but he will tell Beatty that he will. He will become interested in the book and start taking books from all of the houses he burns. I think he will possibly quit his job as a fireman and look more into when Clarisse disapeared.

    Yes! Our first post! Thanks for taking the initiative, Ellie. This is a prediction on Ellie's part. Let's take it a step further to really dig deeply. What is the significance of this prediction? How easy will it be for him to simply quit his job in this society? What are the implications of reading more books in this society, and how long can he go on before he ends up like Clarisse? How does he parallel people we know in real life, or humanity in general?
